Great buying experience. When we walked into the showroom we were quickly introduced to Salesman Tim Wingo, friendly and professional. We sat down and told Tim that we knew which camper we wanted (the smallest on the lot - 14 ft Falcon). There was no "hard sell" going on - he didn't try to convince us to buy a larger camper or anything we didn't want. We were given an overview about the camper's features (which are many) and proceeded to start the sale. After a few days our financing was set and we returned to pick up our camper and again was treated like family. As our Jeep had to be hardwired for the lights and trailer brakes we had to wait for that to be done (no biggie - they told us on our initial visit this would be done and that it would take some time to do). The staff in the Service Dept are top-drawer as well. Any questions we had were answered immediately with no b.s. We were given the tour of our new camper and shown what was where and how it worked. We told the gentleman, Ernie, this was our first camper and he took extra time to make sure we were comfortable with it and that all questions were completely answered. Additionally he gave us a little inside information that usually comes after owning a camper for awhile to help us along. All in all our first experience buying a camper couldn't have been much better. Tim Wingo is a 1st class Salesman who takes a genuine interest in his customers' wants without trying to push a higher-dollar sale. His communication during the whole process was constant and without being made to feel like we were bothering him by contacting him when we weren't face to face. Eli in the Finance Dept was also straight forward, easy going and friendly. Again, the folks in the Service Dept were ready and willing to answer any questions without hesitation and make sure we were comfortable before leaving with our camper. American Family RV bills themselves as a "family/family oriented business" who are in the business to make customers happy. In our case they nailed it.
